What comes to mind when I read the quote is being heavily invested into a group or a calling. I think this quote means that you need some form of support or a “family” no matter where you are in life. Being part of a family, etc. may also be important because it is crucial to ones identity. I think this statement is partially true because it is nice to be part of something and it can be important to ones identity. Although I believe the statement to be true it can also be partially also false because people can be happy being by themselves.
